Wanting to capture the graphics and texture of my vintage tees, I placed them one by one on a scanner bed. This practice in cataloging my collection sparked a zine of anecdotes about the origins of my tees, ranging from tales of flea market finds and hand me downs. I also trace the garments’ actual physcial origins. Another element of the zine is pages of styling my mom in my collection, layered with her selections of her own antique jewelry.

The project is a study of the graphic tee, and how the Tshirt communicates information and identity. I incorporate archival research, while invoking styling, and the personal.
